The incident occured after 10.30am.
Deputy Captain Pete Green said they received a call to the site as a precautionary measure.
He said it was a positive that it was not a major fire.
“They roast their own beans in the back so it just got hot and began smoking through the flue.
“You can smell smoke inside but there were no ignition or major issues,” he said.
“They called us as a precaution just to make sure everything was okay.”
The crew remained onsite for about 20 minutes where they ensured that there was no further incident.
“We’re checking that there’s no heat in the ceiling or residual heat from the coffee machine,” Deputy Captain Green said at the time.
