The two went score for score early in the game, and Boorowa managed to go into the break with their noses in front, 14-12.
An early try after half time gave Boorowa some breathing room, but the Rams came back with a vengeance thanks to two tries and a penalty goal, taking the score to 21-29.
Boorowa crossed once again to trail by one point, 28-29, but Yass closed the game out with one last penalty goal from Mark Dowling.
The 28-32 win moves Yass to fourth on the ladder, behind Taralga, Crookwell, and Jindabyne.
