The event (with free entrance) at 10.30am–2pm at the Recreation Hall aims to help residents explore resources for family fun and growth.
It is organised and hosted by the Murrumbateman Rotary Club, with the support of the Murrumbateman Progress Association (MPA).
Judy Ford, lead organiser and member of Rotary, said it was the inaugural event.
“It’s our first time doing it and we hope it will be an annual event,” she said.
Who will be there?
Among the 30 clubs and associations on exhibition will be sports, services and special interests.
“We’ve got mainly associations from around the village and a couple from south of Murrumbateman, but there are also a few from Yass,” Ms Ford said.
These include the Lions clubs of Yass and Murrumbateman, Yass Amateur Beekeepers Association NSW and Yass Valley Library.
The library will be bring its van as well.
The Scout Group will also be on show, along with Dazzle Dance Academy who will perform from 11.30am.
Ms Ford said that the support of the MPA had also been a factor in making this event come to fruition and she encouraged residents to attend the event.
“It’s an opportunity for people to see what they can join in the area.
“While Murrumbateman is only a small village, there is always a lot happening and this is a chance for everyone to connect with each other.
“It’s an event for children and adults alike. If it works, we’ll do it again next year,” Ms Ford said.
There will also be a jumping castle and children’s activities. The Murrumbateman Rotary branch will also hold a sausage sizzle.
