The less than inviting and somewhat polar conditions didn’t intimidate Mat Gerstenberg, who insisted on getting out and putting his brand new shotgun through its paces.
He was well into the second event before dropping a bird so it’s fair to say he’ll probably keep it.
Visiting junior shooter Rohan Fleming also handled the miserable conditions very well and was rewarded with first in B Grade for all three events on the day.
On a sad note, visiting Crookwell shooter Arthur Pagett advised that the long running Crookwell Gun Club closed down on Saturday following a change in ownership of the grounds where the club is located.
If you’re out and about around the traps, please advise other shooters of the closure as the current Blue Book has monthly shoots listed at Crookwell for the remainder of this year.
