Be bushfire ready
Many villages across the whole Yass Valley will be taking part in the NSW Rural Fire Service Get Ready Weekend to encourage bushfire preparation.
On Saturday and Sunday, head along to your local station to meet firefighters, look at firefighting vehicle displays, and enjoy kids activities and workshops.
This is a great opportunity to find out about the local fire risk and learn just how easy it is can be to prepare for the bush fire season.
