Well, you can at least come to the Murrumbateman Field Days and see the machinery that makes the earth move wherever you need it to.
As we mentioned on page 2 of this special Field Days wrap, the event was originally conceived as the Small Machinery Field Days back in 1979
40 events later you can still see all sorts of plant and vehicles designed to get all sorts of jobs done.
“For us, the the shows are about getting our brand out there,” says Scott Bate, the NSW sales manager from Earthmoving Equipment Australia.
“It’s a chance for us to get our machines out there. Get the brands out there. Get people to touch and feel [and] push buttons and open doors,” on the new machinery.
Think of their display then, like an outdoor showroom, and it is also a chance to show your kids what these machines are like, how big some of them are, and tell them what it is that they can do.

The machines that EEA plan on bringing to this year's Field Days include CASE mini-excavators, the Thwaites dumper, track skid steers, and a range of earth-moving attachments, plus “augers, trenchers, hammers and compaction equipment,” Scott adds.
Test drives won’t be possible obviously, but Scott encourages you to get in and sit in the machinery to get a bit more familiar with them.
“We’ll have space to be able to do that”.
They will also have some staff on hand to answer all of your questions about earthmoving equipment, and one of the company’s owners will be attending the event too.
To give you a little background on EEA, ”There’s two partners in the business.” Chris Newton and Michael Smith are the owners.
“They’ve been in this business for about eight years, and they’ve been the CASE distributor in NSW for about four of those years,” Scott says.
They have five branches across NSW and Queensland, including a branch at Queanbeyan with a sales yard and machinery on show, as well as two service trucks to look after customers in this part of the world.
Their other branches are located near Sydney, Brisbane, Toowoomba and Newcastle.
They sell new and used machinery, parts, and provide servicing for their clients' entire fleet, whether on-site or in their own EEA workshops.
