Merchant Campbell will move from its shopfront at 85 Comur Street, next door to Yazzbar and into the old Timmer's Original Bakery & Snack Bar building at 287 Comur St, early next year.

Owner Margot Shannon said she had been looking for a bigger space that could accommodate furniture, as well as the jewellery and home furnishings already sold at the shop.
She saw the old Timmer’s building in January and bought it in September.
Mrs Shannon said it would need renovations, including a new shop front, into which she hopes to put large, bright windows.
The renovations will need Yass Valley Council’s approval and Shannon predicts to get the development application through in the next few months and move in by March.
“We hope the new space will become a destination place – catching traffic from Murrumbateman – and make Yass a more attractive place to come to,” said Shannon.
On Monday, Mrs Shannon, family and friends moved furniture from a delivery from Indonesia into the new building. It included ethically sourced and handmade, large pottery and rattan furniture, plus Christmas decorations that will be stocked in the existing shop before December.
The existing shop will be leased to Merchant Campbell for another six months. Owners Harvey Walsh and Penny Carlisle of Yazzbar have the approval to expand their licensed area into the adjacent space and put in a commercial kitchen. Walsh said there were no plans to do so at this stage, however.
