This is the second year running that the Redbacks have held registrations for their junior players, and with over 200 children signed up, this year was arguably a bigger success than 2018 when roughly 180 children registered.
There were plenty of attractions on offer with which the kids could amuse themselves while parents were signing up, including a sausage sizzle, giveaways, target-based games, face painting, a jumping castle, and the opportunity to try on their new kits.
As the club neared the end of the Open Day, a post on its Facebook page said that it had been a "fantastic" day.
For those who were unable to take part on Saturday, registrations are open until Sunday February 17, and today the Redbacks will host an additional sign-up session at Walker Park from 5.00pm-6.30pm.
There are still spots open in the Under 18s, Under 16s, Under 15s, Under 13s, and a smattering in the Under 11s and Under 8s, so any children who are interested are encouraged to sign up.
