It’s going to be huge.
Goulburn Mulwaree Library says they are thrilled to present this event from 10am on Saturday March 16 at Veolia Arena on Braidwood Road, Goulburn.
Now in its third year, the 2019 Con is bigger and better than ever before, with over 60 market stalls selling a huge array of items from comics, artworks and collectables, jewellery, costumes, and much more. You can even commission your own unique artwork from one of the many artists and illustrators in Artist Alley.
The day is filled with a variety of live performances, demonstrations, and workshops, including a live draw-off with celebrated artists Matthew Lin and Marcelo Baez, the AFK Geek Choir, writing and illustration workshops with special guest author Isobelle Carmody, Leigh Rigozzi, Shane W Smith, and Louie Joyce, and lightsaber training with the Sons of Obiwan Saber Academy.
A new gaming hall will also be in action, with tabletop gaming demos and comps throughout the day. Learn how to play Armoured Digital Miniatures, Magic the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, Warhammer 40,000 and more.
Enter the cosplay competition and parade to show off your marvellous costume creations, or just come along and watch the amazing creativity and skill involved in making cosplay outfits.
Have yourself 3D printed, or grab a fun photo at their green screen photography booth.
Watch the Action Reaction Infinity acrobatic and stunt show featuring Captain America, Spider-Man, Black Panther, Thor, and Star-Lord.
Visit the Okewaite SCA Medieval Society tent to learn about medieval battlefield tactics, armour, fencing, heraldry, and costume design. The day will conclude with an incredible medieval battle re-enactment as the armoured forces of the Kingdom of Lochac battle it out in a great war finale.
Goulburn Mulwaree Library has also partnered with the wonderful Aussie Night Markets to bring delicious food from all over the world to Comic Con, with their amazing international food trucks and kids zone.
Best of all, entry is free.
