On Wednesday, May 29 at 10.56am Hume Police, HAZMAT, and NSW RFS responded to triple zero calls following reports of a truck crash.
The driver is uninjured.
"A B-double seems to have careened across the lane and tipped," NSW Rural Fire Service Operational Officer of the Southern Tablelands Zone, Lachlan Gilchrist said.
"It's too early to determine the cause of the crash.
"We are very fortunate with the size of the vehicle and the highway that no one else was involved," Mr Gilchrist said.
The northbound lane of the highway is currently closed and will reopen by 1pm, Mr Gilchrist said.
Police are managing traffic flow while the salvage crew works to clear the site.
There are no reports of any fluid leak.
