With a 100 target double barrel championship being the only event on offer, many competitors knuckled down early to lock in some rhythm in an attempt to achieve the perfect 100/100 score.
At the end of the event proper, four shooters achieved the 100/100 result with young up and coming junior shooter Rohan Fleming from Goulburn being the first past the post.
Peter Ewart from Cooma, Dave Crane from Canberra and Yass shooter Paul Watchorn also managed the perfect 100/100.
Phil Wales and visiting Canberra shooter Jason Winters pulled up just short, both managing to break 99 of the 100 targets.
Yass pair Peter Southwell and Mat Gerstenberg along with Canberra shooter Sharon McDonald were also just off the pace, all recording scores of 98/100.
Shoot-offs decided Overall, first and second in AA Grade and second in A Grade.
Dave Crane once again displayed his dominance on the layouts by winning Overall with a fine score of 140/140 over Paul Watchorn, Peter Ewart and Rohan Fleming.
Rohan composed himself well after a ring-tightening first shoot-off target almost brought him undone. He went on to shoot a total of 116/116 to claim second in AA Grade. Well shot Rohan.
It was pleasing to see some brand new Yass club members participating in their first competition. Aaron Petty, Andrew Villareal and Noel Scarlett all fronted up, keen as mustard and did themselves proud on the layouts.
Noel shot extremely well and even managed some red on the scoreboard to finish up on an even score with his chaperone for the day, John Pateman.
