The Bowning and Bookham Districts Landcare Group is inviting everyone to join them to plant trees, meet new people and make a difference to the environment from June 7-10.
"The trees you plant will be a new generation in the district and will help to improve biodiversity, provide habitat for wildlife, improve the fertility of the soil and shelter livestock from the weather and can offset your carbon footprint," the group said.
The trees, tools, accommodation (BYO tent), most meals, company and surprise extra activities will be provided and organised by Landcare.
"This a relaxed and flexible weekend, so while there are activties planned from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday and a dinner on Saturday night, there's still time to have a look further afield in the Yass Valley and surrounds," the group said.
Passes for an individual start at $25 or $35 for a group or family (2-6 people).
