The club's president of two years, Stan Luff, announced he would hand over the reigns at the 60th changeover dinner on July 4.
The board is now represented by president Ray Hill, secretary Lyn Rudd, treasurer Terry Rudd, first vice president and publicity officer Nathan Furry, membership chairman Stan Luff, one year director Allan McGrath, two year director Peter Poidevin, and lion tamer and tail twister Clarrie Schlunke.
Mr Hill has been president of the club before, previously in 2014, 2009 and 1995, he recalls.
"We're going to continue what we've been doing, recruiting as well as we can and looking forward to our 60th anniversary, which is a pretty big milestone," Mr Hill said.
The anniversary will be held either in early October or early December.
At the 60th changeover dinner, the club also welcomed the largest number of new members since 1959, when 21 people were recruited. A total of 14 new members were introduced on July 4 as the club's new sub-branch, Yass Valley SPIN (Supporting People in Need) Foundation, which will raise money for people with a variety of medical conditions.

"The work starts now, we have to assist SPIN as much as we can," outgoing president Mr Luff said.
The club has had a busy year raising funds and its major donations were: $8,743 to Need for Feed, which supports farmers impacted by the drought; $2000 to the Binit Binit Learning Community to run Yass Book Week Parade in October; and $500 to Yass Parkinson's Support Group.
The money was collected by Lions volunteers from community donations at the Murrumbateman Field Days, Yass Show, Haulin' The Hume, Cooma Cottage's Twilight Autumn Picnic Fair, Yass Magpies' home games and Driver Reviver.
The Driver Reviver initiative has been run at the Mundanoon rest area since 1997 and it's believed there hasn't been a fatality on the Hume Highway in this area on a long weekend, ever since.
The Lions also kept drivers safe by running the Plan B drink driving campaign at Yass Picnic Races in March.
"Volunteers should be proud of what we have accomplished as I am for this year," Mr Luff said.
