With mental health and well-being becoming an important issue in regional NSW, it's wonderful to see our residents engaging in arts and culture in diverse ways.
Based on information recently compiled by the Australia Council for the Arts, residents in regional NSW believe that the arts have a positive impact on stimulating their minds, expressing themselves and improving their ability to think creatively and develop new ideas.
From an industry point of view, there are 1791 people working in the arts and culture industry across a wide range of occupations, including musicians, dancers, actors, authors, teachers, librarians, park rangers and software development, to name just a few!
Southern Tablelands Arts is fortunate to work with individuals and organisations in many different capacities.
Our unique contacts enable us to deliver meaningful programs in the region.
We also believe it's important to build strong relationships with local councils in a variety of ways including public and community art, professional development and supporting community events and festivals.
If you have a project or an idea you would like to discuss, or just want to know more, visit our website www.southerntablelandsarts.com.au or call the office on 02 4823 4407.
The Country Arts Support Program and Regional Arts Fund are also receiving applications. Full details on the Regional Arts NSW website http://regionalartsnsw.com.au/.
