Locals from the village generously gave 34 sheep to the students to take to the saleyard in Yass.
Phill Butt of Butt Livestock and Property conducted the sale, which made $5314 at the South Eastern Livestock Exchange.
He donated his commission and covered the cost of the yard fees so the school received all of the profit.
The rest of the money was donated by Binalong residents who couldn't donate sheep.
Binalong Public School's Parents and Citizens' Association funds the school's entire Art and Music Program.
It was the P&C's Angela Taylor who drove the idea of a sheep drive fundraiser.
"One farmer mentioned they did it for the preschool years ago and we're always looking for ideas," Miss Taylor said.

"We've had unreal support from the community and it's amazing that in such a tough time farmers can still donate.
"If having an Art and Music Program means pulling up our sleeves, getting sheep and getting them onto a truck, then we did it," Miss Taylor said.
Miss Taylor's father-in-law, George Elliot, helped to source, collect and transport the sheep.
The school's relieving principal Diane Hickey said it was an "awesome" initiative and that the students were excited to take part.

Miss Taylor also said it was a good educational experience.
"It's such a big, new saleyard, so it was quite interesting to see," she said.
The students are currently learning music with a specialist music teacher under the school's Art and Music Program.
Special thanks was given to those who donated stock or funds: Belinda Pilgram, Sargents, Rob McColl, Paul Glover, Chris Glover, Mossfield, Matty Arabin, Max Giles, Mike Grogan, Leon Arabin, Phil Benette and the Elliot family.
"What a beautiful village we have," Miss Taylor said.
