The three self-contained, one-bedroom units were opened by member for Goulburn Wendy Tuckerman on Monday, August 26.
She said the new accommodation - part of the $8 million hospital redevelopment - was a significant upgrade.
"This new accommodation will undoubtedly help the appeal of Yass Hospital in terms of attracting and retaining medical, nursing and allied health staff," she said.
Mrs Tuckerman said the accommodation would also benefit students practicing at the hospital.
Staff have begun to view the new accommodation and bookings will be taken soon.
The units each have a kitchen, laundry and en-suite bathroom.
One of the units also has accessible features including lowered benchtops, railings and bathroom fixtures.
All of the furniture and appliances were purchased from local businesses in Yass, Mrs Tuckerman said.
The Yass Hospital redevelopment is part of the $304 million statewide program of works to upgrade existing facilities in rural and remote areas.
Richard Crookes Constructions was awarded the main works contract for the redevelopment in January, with work starting in February.
The redevelopment will include:
- Ongoing 24-hour emergency department;
- Additional treatment bay;
- Dedicated ambulance entry;
- Two new inpatient beds;
- Improved community and allied health facilities;
- Ongoing access to X-ray services.
