About 2am on Friday September 6, a single shot was allegedly fired into the front door of a business on Riverside Drive, Jugiong.
Officers attended the scene and established a crime scene, seizing a number of items for forensic examination, a NSW Police statement said.
Later on Tuesday September 10, about 12.50am, police responded to reports of a fire at the same business.
A container and two sheds behind the business were destroyed, Inspector Matthew Hinton of Yass Police Station said.
The cause of the fire is unknown, although it's being treated as suspicious, Inspector Hinton said.
No one was injured as a result of the fire.
Strike Force Kularoo was established by the Hume Police District to investigate the single shooting and fire, which occurred over the past five days.
"Our minds are open at this stage," Inspector Hinton said, when asked if police believed the shooting and fire were connected.

He said it was too early to say if police had any suspects.
"We're awaiting lines of inquiry and forensic evidence," Inspector Hinton said.
Police are calling for anyone with dashcam footage or CCTV in or around the Jugiong area, including anyone travelling on the Hume Highway in the vicinity of those times, to contact Yass Police Station on (02) 6226 9399 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Inquiries are continuing.
