The Boorowa Community Bank® Branch of Bendigo Bank has very recently appointed Darren Manton as its new business development manager (BDM).
The bank says that Mr Manton is a vastly experienced Yass-based financial services professional having joined Bendigo and Adelaide Bank in 2015 as a senior community bank manager.
Many types of business organisations from IT to news media employ a BDM.
A BDM's primary goal is to generate and facilitate new business, and their primary function is to nurture relationships with clients for this development to occur. That means using their communication skills, meeting people in person, as well as providing expert knowledge about the products and services the BDM's employer can offer.

In his new role with Boorowa Community Bank®, Mr Manton will offer expert assistance to Yass and district-based clients seeking personal and business lending advice and access to banking services.

EXPERIENCE
Darren Manton has built a professional career over more than 30 years in banking and finance having held a diverse range of roles.
Darren and his wife now live in Yass, and have strong family connections in the region.
Darren started his career in 1986 with the CBA in country NSW. After that, he relocated to the Canberra region and moved in to finance broking, where he enjoyed over 10 years assisting clients with their equipment finance and mortgage needs.
Darren then joined St George Bank in 2007 as a business relationship manager and was subsequently promoted to regional leader business banking ACT.
In 2015 Darren joined Bendigo Bank in a senior community bank branch manager role before joining Selfco Leasing in 2017.
Darren returned to Bendigo Bank in 2019 and is delighted to now be working with the Boorowa Community Bank® branch in a BDM role covering Yass and district.
