The park has been a campground for a donation for more than 20 years and a development application was recently submitted to Yass Valley Council to keep it that way.
For the most part, the campground is seen as a positive addition to the village, attracting visitors to local businesses and supporting the ongoing operation of the park.
But some residents have had enough of campers using the park as a bathroom instead of the amenities provided.
The DA attracted six submissions, four objecting or raising issues of concern.
Residents believe it's the distance between the camping areas and the amenities building that's at the root of the issue.
Yass Valley Council agreed to pass the application at its September 25 ordinary meeting, as long as additional signage was installed directing the campers to the amenities.
Campers should soon also benefit from the new amenities to be built at Gundaroo Park this financial year.
A number of other conditions were introduced under the DA.
The maximum number of camp sites at the campground will be limited to 20 and there will be areas designated for tents, caravans and campervans to stay.

Camping will be limited along the southern boundary to separate campers from neighbouring properties.
Some residents had also complained about the noise of generators and disturbance from lights in the campground.
No generators will be allowed after 10pm or before 8am. There will also be no excessive noise or music after 10pm from Sunday to Thursday and not after 11pm on Friday and Saturday.
Common decency and consideration will be expected from campers to minimise further noise and also light impacts, which will be regulated by the Gundaroo Park Trust.
