This short concert will be held in St Clement's Anglican Church, Yass on Sunday, October 13 at 2pm and the fee for entry is a mere gold coin.
There must be few better ways to spend a pleasant and inspiring hour on a Sunday afternoon than listening to these wonderful people doing what they love to do.
The scholars who will perform are: Geena Elliot (voice), Corinne Green (saxophone), Niamh Kelly (piano), Wendy Morton (piano), Tiernan Roberts (guitar) and Becky Wright (piano). The pieces they will play vary from classical to popular music.
Each year Yass Music Club awards several R.A.G Holmes Scholarships to school students in the district who show promise as performers in the field of music.
Past and present performers have included pianists - classical and pop, violinists, singers, clarinetists, guitarists, saxophonists.
The variety of musical genres has been exciting.
Many of our scholarship holders have gone onto successful musical careers.
This may be your chance to see a future star in the making.
The funds for the scholarship are provided by The Glenlothian Educational Trust, which is managed by the Rotary Club of Yass and the funds are made available on an annual basis.
