The workshop will be held at Trader & Co, Yass on Sunday, October 27 and is designed to encourage residents to think about the resource value of items that they might be consigning to the general waste bin or waste transfer station.
Four artists from YASSarts will be on hand to help participants create beautiful and functional items from waste products, such as textiles and plastic chook feed bags.
On the day, participants can create lampshades from paint cans or wire and plastic animal feed bags, or crochet bags from old wool and rag rugs from old textiles.
Participants can also start a number of projects to take home and finish, or work on one or two projects to completion.
The cost of the workshop is $25 per person and covers the class, tools and materials, morning tea, lunch and a coffee, tea or drink of your choice.
Places for this workshop are limited, visit eventbrite.com.au/e/75972747533 to secure your spot.
