The 21-year-old acting tourism and business liaison coordinator at Yass Valley Information Centre, Ms Patmore, was recently named Outstanding Young Employee at the 2019 Far South Coast and Capital Regional Business Awards.
The news comes only a few months on since she won the same award at the 2019 Yass Valley Business Awards.
Ms Patmore said she was "shocked".
"It just feels like I'm doing my job, but the awards show you're going the extra mile."
The young achiever pursued business admin at high school but discovered her passion for tourism while working at Wee Jasper Reserves.
A short time later, she secured a traineeship at the tourism centre and is now studying tourism at university.
"I couldn't see myself doing anything else. I love talking to people. This morning, someone said they wanted to go fishing, so I told them about how I went fishing on the weekend!"
Ms Patmore was born and bred in the Yass Valley and loves the history, wine and personalities of each village here.
"Hopefully, I can inspire other young people. We have a traineeship coming up at the end of the year!" she said.
Think Technology Australia also has reason to celebrate, after it was announced as the Excellence in Small Business winner of the 2019 Regional Business Awards. The business won the same award at the 2019 Yass Valley Business Awards.
Since 1995, the business has been supporting other businesses and people with IT. Today, it has offices in Yass, Wagga Wagga and Brisbane and about 12 employees.
Owner Janine Bright was excited to win. She attributed the award to the changes the business recently implemented based on the Entrepreneurial Operating System for Small Businesses.
"It's a different way of running a business, it gets you to work out what your core focus and values are and who your core customers are.
"Then you get the employees who fit that. This award is all to do with the team getting on board," Ms Bright said.
Ms Patmore and Ms Bright will receive free flights and accommodation to compete in the NSW Business Chamber State Business Awards on November 22 in Sydney.
Finalists of the Regional Business Awards included:
- Blackwattle Alpaca Yarn and Fibre (Excellence in Micro Business);
- Four Wind Vineyards (Excellence in Business);
- Physical Ease Recovery (Start-Up Superstar);
- Yass Gymnastics (Outstanding Employer of Choice); and
- Andrew John Bowman Douglas, Priceline Pharmacy Yass (Outstanding Business Leader).
