Yazz Fest, the wine festival hosted by Yazzbar, is back with top drops, amazing food and live music. Grab a glass and explore 17 wineries, two distilleries and a brewery from the world-famous Canberra District. Now in its third year, Yazz Fest pops the spotlight on award-winning producers such as Sholto Wines and McKellar Ridge and food from hatted restaurant Clementine for the first time. The ticket includes a glass, a bag big enough to hold four bottles (think Christmas presents!), a booklet for tasting notes and contact details for all wineries. For out of area visitors, there is a return bus from Canberra and Murrumbateman.

Psycho Zydeco

Psycho Zydeco has been one of the most successful Australian roots-based bands for more than 25 years. With numerous tours, festivals and gigs throughout Australia and Europe, as well as four critically acclaimed albums, the band is enjoying performing live now more than ever. The band has taken the stage with Zydeco legends Rockin' Dopsie and Terrance Simien in the past. Both of these giants of the deep south have praised the band for capturing a true Zydeco sound that has an Australian kick and flavour. The band's earthy blend of traditional Cajun, Blues and Swamp music produce a sound that is Psycho Zydeco.
Southern Tablelands Vintage Farm Field Days
- Saturday and Sunday, November 16 and 17, at the Taralga Showground. Entry: $10 per adult, children under 16 years free. Buy at the gate.
Visit the 15th annual rally of the Southern Tablelands Vintage Farm Field Days. There will be displays and demonstrations of vintage farm machinery, trucks and tractors, restored heritage and classic cars, small motors and steam engines; and heritage games for the young and young at heart and live entertainment on Saturday night. Other activities include a vintage tractor pull, tractor trek, threshing display, and hand-loaded baling.
