NSW RFS Inspector George Shepherd attended a special ceremony at the school to congratulate the graduates.
"It was pleasing to see the level of engagement that the graduating students displayed throughout the program," he said.
The Cadet Program, now in its 10th year at Yass High, continues to be a great success and has seen over 150 students from the school graduate.
The students spent 10-weeks learning about fire behaviour, how to use firefighting equipment, communication and basic safety, Inspector Shepherd said.
The Cadet Program gives the students the confidence to join their local brigade once they turn 16.
It also develops their practical life skills and leadership, teamwork and initiative skills, as well as fosters qualities of community responsibility and service.
"The NSW Rural Fire Service greatly appreciates the ongoing partnership with Yass High School to deliver the Cadet Program," Inspector Shepherd said.
"I would also like to convey my sincere thanks to the volunteers of the NSW RFS that delivered the program."
