Optus customers in the town may experience outage in the services as the company begins work on its planned upgrades today.
The planned works are expected to take place across a period of a maximum of eight hours, during the day, and during this time customers may experience limited service.
"These works are being completed to provide increased capacity and improve network coverage in the area," an Optus spokesperson said.
"We understand that staying connected is of the upmost importance for our customers, so where there is an outage we recommend diverting mobile phones to landlines or connecting to public Wi-Fi for data as well as to make calls over apps such as WhatsApp or Facetime.
"Optus apologises to customers who may be impacted as a result of these planned works and thanks them for their patience."
Planned upgrades to the Optus network will take place in Yass on Monday, February 3 and in Binalong on Tuesday, February 4.
