The population of the Yass Valley local government area is 16,142 (2016 Census).
So if everyone in the Yass area spent $10 per week in our local shops and businesses (instead of online or at the shopping malls) it would mean an extra $8.39 million a year going into our local economy. That's pretty incredible.
Makes you think, doesn't it?
It's very important for us to shop local - it's better for all of us.

- Over the past few years we have initiated the Yass gift cards - redeemable in any locally owned and registered store.
- The Yass Valley Business Chamber Business awards have been a great success - bigger and better this year.
