A total of $34.7 million has been allocated in 2021-22 for the construction of a new high school in Bungendore and $25.9 million has been given for the construction of a new high school in Jerrabomberra.
Delivery of hall upgrades at Queanbeyan West Public School is also on the cards which include a new hall with a canteen, storage and amenities.

Soon, children in Bungendore won't have to travel to other areas to attend school as there are plans to open a new school in town which will have capacity to accommodate hundreds of students.
Meanwhile, Yass Valley residents have received $20.1 million in the state budget to continue with the delivery of a new primary school in Murrumbateman.
After the announcement on Tuesday, Member for Goulburn Wendy Tuckerman said that public schools have never been better funded than they are now.

After years of wait, a new school is on the way for Murrumbateman with the State Significant Development Application was lodged with the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment earlier this month.
Once completed, the new school will include flexible learning spaces, a library, hall, and canteen, a special education learning unit, covered outdoor learning area and administration and staff facilities.
The $7.4 million hall upgrade at Yass High School are also part of the NSW budget and students will enjoy a new multi-purpose hall that will provide a full-size basketball court, storage and amenities.
