Agnes Skillin turned 100 on November 29. She was born in Yass in 1913 and is the eldest of six children.

Her family have been in the Yass area since the mid 1800's. Agnes has three daughters, nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She has been involved in many community organisations throughout her life and has made many friends throughout her long life.
On Friday November 29 she was honoured at the local Vision Australia 50th anniversary luncheon at the Soldier' Club with a framed certificate and flowers.
A large afternoon tea for family and friends followed at the Len Waters Lounge, Linton Village where Agnes lives. On Sunday the 1st of December, family from around the country gathered to celebrate her centenary. She is pictured with many of her family members."
Throughout her life Agnes has been a very active member of the Yass community and she is an inspiration to her family and friends.
