Several unmarked ACT police cars were smashed in an attempt to arrested a 24-year old man on a first instance warrant in Hall on Friday, at 10.50am.

The man was located at a premises in Gibbes Street where he attempted to flee in a vehicle, crashing into several unmarked police vehicles before fleeing from officers on foot.
Police searched the surrounding area for two hours before apprehending the man at about 12.50pm.
First Instance Warrants are issued by a court when a defendant or witness has failed to appear on the date stipulated on either a summons or bail agreement.
The 24-year old man was conveyed to the ACT Watch House and Police said that investigations into the incident are continuing.
