A 57-year-old woman driving a grey Holden Barina didn't give way and ran into the front side of a white ford focus being driven by a 20-year-old woman. Neither of the women were hurt.
The accident occured on the northbound lane on the highway at the corner of Vallencia Drive just south of Murrumbateman.
Detours were put in place and traffic was affected for around 30 minutes.
ACT Fire and Rescue, NSW Fire and Rescue, NSW RFS, ACT Ambulance, RMS and Yass Police all attended. Council helped police with traffic control.
Midnight crash
A 28-year-old man was taken to hospital after failing to give way at the intersection of Yass Valley Way and the Hume Highway at around midnight on Thursday.
Driving a Mitsubishi Delica he drove onto the Hume Highway and crashed into the side of a semi-trailer which was heading south. He was taken to Canberra Hospital with suspected neck and spinal injuries, cuts and abrasions.
There were two passengers travelling in his car and both were taken to hospital to be treated for lacerations and suspected fractures.
All three were later released from hospital with minor lacerations and bruising.
The truck driver wasn't hurt.
The incident is still under investigation.
Swift rolls
A 23-year-old woman rolled her black Suzuki Swift after she blew a front tyre on Thursday at 2.30pm. The incident occured on the Hume Highway near the turn-off to Yass Valley Way. Travelling north, the car blew a front tyre and collided with kerb and guttering before rolling onto its roof.
The driver was taken to hospital and the car was towed.
One of two northbound lanes was affected for around 30 minutes.
