In the midst of the holiday period a reminder to all residents to ensure all the security needs at your home are in working order. Unfortunately not everyone is respectful and if your belongings are left unattended these people will take the opportunity to collect and take ownership for themselves. Please take care and remember to lock your doors and close your windows when leaving home. The same applies to vehicles whether at home or out and about doing the shopping. Also, be sure to place all electrical devices out of plain sight (the kids and their entertainment gadgets).

Our wonderful Yass Library visits our village twice a month in their mobile library van. We are incredibly lucky to have librarians who are happy to help find the book you are longing to read and if not available will certainly order it in for you. Movies are also available to hire along with CD's and audio books.
The van will be parked at Edith’s Store fortnightly on Wednesdays. The next visit will be on January 21 then the following fortnight on February 4 from 3-4pm.
St James' Church in Bowning holds a service on every third Sunday of the month. The next service will be on January 18 at 9.30am followed by morning tea at the Rollonin Café. All community members, family and friends are welcome to attend.
Now is the time to finish off any ideas community members may have regarding designs for the bus shelter near Edith’s Store and the public wall near the Bowning Hall. These areas are designated for our community to design and decorate. All ideas are welcome and a meeting date will be advertised for those who wish to come along and help with the project. It will take time and effort but the pull for such works is obvious with in the community. We are a proud village with such kindness and respect for each other and projects like this prove this to be true. For more information, including expressions of interest forms, go to Edith's Store.
On Sunday February 1 at the Bowning Hall the Tuckerbox Auction team will start viewing at 9.30am, with the auction beginning at 11am. Again the Bowning Hall Committee will have food and drinks available and all proceeds go back into the upkeep of the hall. These actions are always a success so don’t miss out.
