The program of events for the day includes a gala lunch, student musical performance; tree planting and cake cutting with our State and Federal Members of Parliament, Pru Goward MP and Angus Taylor MP; and in the evening, an old style dance.
"The school community has been preparing for this fabulous celebration over many months", said Sue Kominek, Principal of Gundaroo Public School.
"We have managed to contact a good number of our former students, many of whom are coming to the event; as well as the Affleck family whose ancestors were central to establishing a school in the community.
"I have enjoyed hearing from former students, where they are and what they are doing now and I am sure there will be a lot more of this on the day", said Mrs Kominek.
"Over 150 current and former students, their families and the local community are expected to join us for a gala lunch, in a big marquee we are erecting near our school hall."
The students are also performing a musical, written especially for the day by a creative local resident who was a former teacher and parent of children who attended the school.
Those wishing to join the celebrations can obtain more information from our Facebook page, GundarooPublicSchool150th, or by emailing the school at Gundaroo-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au.
