A number of Yass locals successfully competed in the ACT Regional Tournament for GKR Karate on Sunday May 3 at Namadgi School in Tuggeranong.

Dojos from across Canberra and all the way to Cooma competed in the event.
All in all, Yass competitiors came home with 13 gold, nine silver and five bronze medals.
With the highest medal tally, they won the Region 16 Dojo Championship Trophy. The achievement is no mean feat, considering there are 23 dojos in Region 16.
Yass competitors will be looking to back that performance up with a solid showing in the next event, to be held on August 3.
