A large number of childcare centres around Australia took part in the Red Nose Day initiative much to the delight of the youngsters.
Many dressed up in superhero costumes, but the common theme was red. There was also red jelly, red spaghetti and red cupcakes on offer.
Red Nose Day is aimed at addressing the traumatic Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). SIDS and Kids saves thousands of babies' lives through providing crucial education and community awareness programs and Red Nose Day has been an integral part of the charity's fundraising calendar since 1988. Since SIDS and Kids inception, over $16 million has been devoted to the cause.
