“No worries Bronnie, just be sure to visit a school or a hospital, something, as well, can’t forget the taxpayer.”
“Who?? Oh yes, no worries Tony, she’ll be right mate!”
$5000 plus to hire a helicopter to fly to some Liberal Party fundraiser - nice if you can get away with it, at taxpayer’s expense. Totally outrageous waste of hard-earned taxpayers’ money.
Joe Hockey, our Treasurer telling us to pull our belts in, public service cuts like we have never seen, miserable pay offers, let’s increase the GST, that’s a good idea, the list goes on. Abbott closing down wind farms, it just does not stop. This arrogant Liberal Government should be thrown out.
Some politicians have their snouts in the trough so deep, they can hardly breathe.
What is needed is an independent system that checks all expense claims. Politicians need clear guidelines on what they can and cannot claim, it should not be left up to the politician to decide.
Senator Nick Xenophon has proposed sensible changes which would reduce the risk of rorts.
With politicians claiming expenses like this, it’s no wonder this country has a deficit.
People if you want to vote for an honest, honourable, dare I say cost-effective, economically sound, taxpayer-funded-minded, politician, then vote Green, vote Green every time.
Vote for a party that has a social conscious, that cares about public education, cares about a good health system, cares about the environment and wants this planet to last.
Liverpool Plains: Has this state government gone totally mad. Premier Baird should hang his head in shame, so too Hunt. How can you mine one of the richest food bowls in the country and think it’s OK, and your water will be fine. “Don’t you worry about that” - famous last words.
Mining for coal in this day and age is nuts. The world is turning its back on coal, it’s looking to renewable sources, to clean energy, with clean air to breathe, not coal.
OK, it’s not going to happen overnight. People have to transition jobs etc. We have enough coal mines in this country for generations to come, we certainly don’t want any more, and definitely not smack bang in the Liverpool Plains.
Locally it was good to see the Business Chamber committee get back up. We wish it well.
Just because we are Green, doesn’t mean we are anti-business.
Still locally, regardless of who you vote for in the Local Elections next year, the most important thing to do is to vote, to take part in the political process. The BG’s encourages people to get on the rolls.
The BG’s extend their sincere condolences to Alby Schultz’s wife and family as well. Rest in peace Mr Schultz, rest in peace.
