The event was catch and release with prizes for biggest fish not biggest bag. So it was hard to gauge how many fish were caught. Each entrant was able to enter a fish for the mystery length. The major prize was drawn from a hat with all entrants having a chance to win. Nearly $14,000 was raised for Cure Brain Cancer Foundation and there were over 350 entrants. Well over 100 fish were registered over the weekend with many more not recorded and there were over $15,000 in prizes and giveaways.
Winners of the fishing challenge are as follows:
- Senior yellow belly: Robert Miller (Cootamundra) - 52cm.
- Junior yellow belly: Amelia Leitner-Ford (Harden) - lucky draw.
- Senior redfin: Jason Williams (Amaroo) - 29.5cm.
- Junior redfin: Tyler Rayner (Chisholm) - 27cm.
