There are five categories that local residents can be considered for: Sportsperson of the Year – Open (national or state level); Sportsperson of the Year – Local (regional or local level); Sportsperson of the Year – Junior (8 years or younger as of December 31); Clubperson of the Year (significant contribution to their sporting club); Team of the Year (national, state, regional or local level).
