Last week Mt Carmel School celebrated Book Week and the CBCA theme for this year was ‘Australia: Story Country’.

Each class studied one of the short listed books and designed a class display to be put in the library for the week. The weather was perfect for the Book Week Parade, which was held on Friday at 12.15pm, followed by a BBQ.
There were many interesting book characters that came for the day to school and even the Mercy nuns returned to show the children their story in Mt Carmel School.
Sister Aileen and Sister Macrina, who are Mercy nuns living in Yass, attended the parade and were a part of the celebration.
The children will also enjoy the Meerkat drama production group, which will be at the school this week.
