Glynda Bluhm is the owner of Alpaca Magic and is often seen tearing around her 250 acre property on her all terrain vehicle, much the same as when she began in 1968. The stud farm opened in 1997, starting with only a few alpacas. Today, she has over 250 llamas at one given time, on top of 140 plus alpacas and donkeys.
Glynda takes groups of people around her property for relaxation and to experience the pleasure of being around the animals.
“They are truly the best companion, curious, friendly, and gentle, and they enjoy human interaction. They can even be house trained,” she said.
Attending the RSPCA Million Paws Walk, as well as street parades, Driver Reviver, the hospital, nursing homes, and walks around Canberra shopping centers .
Their greatest talent however, is their singing, their favorite song is the ‘llama song’ written by Glynda.
“They also know a wide variety of repertoire including Airplane Jelly and the Vegemite song, the best is the Llamas in Pajamas,” she said.
On October 30, Glynda will be opening the gates of Alpaca Magic for this year’s official open day, 11am until 3pm, at 2771 Sutton Road.
