Quality yarding of cattle at SELX

There was better quality yarding of cattle presented at South Eastern Livestock Exchange on Thursday, January 12, with 1,128 yarded by agents. Cows in general were 5-8 cents dearer, except for lighter cows that went back to the paddock, with strong competition from re-stockers pushing the price 25 cents per kilo better. Feeder cattle, especially steers, were firm with heifers easing slightly.
