“The races are a fantastic event for the Yass Valley community but you need to have a Plan B in place if you decide to drink on the day,” said Yass Valley Council’s Road Safety Officer, Derryth Nash.
Yass Valley Council, supported by the Yass Lions Club, will be operating a Plan B stall at the Marchmont Race Course from 3:30-5:30pm where people can undertake a free breath test and pick up a bottle of water or a Plan B stubby holder. Free race day buses will leave from the corner of Comur and Meehan streets (Royal Hotel) between 11am-1pm and back into town between 5.30-7pm.
