The Yass Golf Club has announced the dates of its annual Men’s Club Championships for 2017.

On Tuesday, February 21, Rodd Bullman, Honorary Secretary of the Yass Golf Club distributed a letter to members, stating that the tournament will be hosted on April 22, 23, 29 and 30.

The 2017 event is being hosted earlier than its usual month of October.

“This has been necessitated as the green staff need to core and sand the greens, tees, etc. at the optimum time of the year,” Mr Bullman writes.

The aim of the change is to give the club’s members the best possible condition of the greens and alleviate the rush on the greens’ staff to bring the course up to scratch as in previous years.

The board has taken this request on from the greens’ staff and it has been approved by the board.

Mr Bullman writes that the board apologises for any inconveniences that these change of dates may cause to the club’s members.

To book a spot in the championships, please contact the club on 6226 1894 or follow them on Facebook: www.facebook.com/YassGolfClub.

  • Holden Scramble: August 2017
