The children all enjoyed their last game of the season and were fortunate to have nice weather.
Connor Tindall was quick to cross the line for the first points of the game.
The rest of the game was try for try with Yass coming out winners by one.
Lucas Butt was quick footed and managed to score his first ever try.
Daniel Clancy, Flynn Hogan and Ryan King were consistent in defence.
Tries went to Connor Tindall (2), Ashton Cooke-Bosustow (2), Albert Walsh (1) and Lucas Butt (1).
The club congratulates all teams for their participation and competitiveness in the ACT Junior Rugby Union competition this year.
Most importantly, some excellent feedback from opposing teams about the way that the Yass teams have been conducting themselves have been conducted.
From the club's perspective this is one of the most important attributes any team can have.
Congratulations to all players, parents, supporters, and volunteers.
This year will see three teams compete in the ACT Junior Rugby Union finals.
Good luck to all playing this weekend, regardless of the result you have done your club proud.
Under 10s
The Yass Rams U10s side finished fourth with seven wins and five loses.
This team has done especially well considering almost half of the side is made up of U9s players.
This week will see them take on the competition leaders Broulee, which promises to be a tough match.
Under 12s
The U12s finished second in division three for 2017.
As a combined side, logistics are always an issue in organising the team.
The managers and coaches have done an outstanding job ensuring that not only is there a team each week but are also a competitive one.
This weekend, the U12s will take on Grammar at Weetangera Sporting Fields at 9.30am.
Northern Barbarians U13s
The Northern Barbarians is new side that includes players from Yass, Uni-Norths, Gungahlin, and Goulburn.
This side finished the season with seven wins and four loses, which is an exceptional result considering many games saw the Northern Barbarians only able to field players.
This weekend, they will take on competition leaders Jindabyne at Gowrie.
