A man is in a critical condition at Canberra Hospital after experiencing a medical episode that caused him to crash on the Hume Highway at Yass on Thursday evening.

Emergency services were called about 5.30pm on May 2 to reports that a car had collided with a barrier on the southbound lane, north of Yass Service Centre.
A helicopter was required to airlift the man to hospital.
The man's injuries were considered non-life threatening at the time he was taken to hospital.
However, he is now in a critical condition in hospital due to his medical condition.
The man was not local to Yass Valley.
