Looking for an engaging and creative activity these school holidays? Join us for a hands-on workshop inspired by our latest exhibition In real life: inventors, innovators and opportunists.

Explore the remarkable Australians featured on our banknotes and uncover the stories behind their achievements. Why do they appear on our currency? What did they invent, create or change?

After exploring these fascinating stories, children will step into the role of designer, creating their own Australian banknote. Who will they feature — a historic trailblazer, a personal hero, or even themselves?

Using colour, symbols and creative flair, they’ll bring their ideas to life in this interactive session that blends history, storytelling and design.

This program is suitable for children aged 7 to 12. Please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult. Please register tickets for children only — parents or guardians do not need a ticket to attend.
