Elspeth McGregor grew up and attended school in Yass and is currently a member of the band. She is looking forward to playing in her home town.

The Sydney Army Band is very generously making a special trip to Yass for a fundraising concert for the Yass Education Foundation.

The band will be accompanied by a small contingent from the Pipes and Drums, who are coming all the way from Newcastle! All members of the band are really looking forward to visiting and performing in Yass.

This is a military band, so you can probably expect to hear a march. However, the band is comprised of ensembles from quartets through to a 22-piece concert band, and performs music from all genres, classical through to rock. There will be something for everyone, and it would be a great introduction to music for young children.

You can expect to be treated to fabulous vocals and amazing music, and to leave the concert feeling great!

Yass Memorial Hall, Sunday, 2pm. Tickets can be pre-purchased at Yass & District Printers (6226 2218) or at the door on the day ($15 adults, $5 children). Afternoon tea provided.
