Police in the ACT will be targeting anti-social behaviour, impaired driving and underage drinking in the city tonight.

Superintendent Brett Kidner warned those planning to drink excessively are putting themselves and their friends at risk.
“We want people to party safely and remain in control of their actions and the safety of their friends and families,” Superintendent Kidner said.
Police will be out on the roads to pick up anyone who makes a decision to drink and drive.
They will also be monitoring CCTV of the New Year’s celebrations in Garema Place.
Road closures
During the fireworks display, other road closures will be implemented southbound on Northbourne Avenue between 8.50pm to 9.30pm and also 11.50pm to 12.30am. Traffic will be diverted left along Cooyong Street, into Ballumbir Street, Coranderrk Street, Parkes Way with access to Commonwealth Avenue.
The laneway behind the Canberra Theatre will also be closed.
The public car park at the corner of London Circuit and Constitution Avenue was closed from midday today.
