It's a strange name 'Faith Corner'. Like something you can put out of the way and not be troubled by it. But faith is part of everyday life. You can't function without it.

Most of us, most of the time, have faith that our car will slow down when we put our foot on the brakes. We don't think about it. It may be because it has always done it before, or it may be because we trust the bloke who services it. Sometimes people can let you down, or sometimes we can simply forget to service it!
We exercise faith every day. It forms the very path we walk on. We make assumptions. We rely on others. Even the most paranoid will have faith in heaps of things.
Now faith has to be considered. Trust must never be blind. But you have to step out, or you will never go anywhere.
But faith has limits. There are some things I just can't swallow. There are some people I know not to trust again. When I look at the complexity of nature in my own yard it screams to me of a mighty Creator, let alone when I look to the night sky. You see, I don't have enough faith to be an atheist. The more I know of science, the more I know about living things, the more I know about the universe and how it works, the more I am convinced that there is a plan and a purpose.
Why the God of the Bible, when there are so many to choose from? Well, I know I don't know everything, and I know I don't have time to explore everything. But the Bible seems to have the best explanation for the way I am and the way I want to be. When put to the test in my life over 48 years, the Bible has usually been right, even when I have been wrong.
I have discovered that faith in God is never to be taken lightly. It has to be a passion if you want the best out of it. He will be there all the way. Sounds a bit like marriage really, only better.
