There were some fine scores recorded at the weekend. Phil White picked up the A-grade prizes in both the weekend competitions, while Tony Bayley had an excellent 45 points to take the B-grade on Saturday, and Norm Napper taking the C-grade with his 40 points.

On Sunday our hardworking green keeper Gerard Kerin had a 61 nett to win the B-grade off his 31 handicap which is no longer, but now a more respectable 26.
The Super Pin went to Gary Smith, with an excellent shot onto the 15th at 91 centimetres. Don’t forget the Sunday raffles which are held every weekend at 6pm, so we hope to see members and guests there.

Dad’s Army January 17
In scorching conditions, some hot scores were handed in in the Dad's Army competition this week. It took 19 points to win the last ball but the highlight of the morning was the extraordinary round of Doug ‘The Ex Cocky’ Oldfield, who registered 26 points to take the money in front of the 15 players that participated. One would have thought that Barry Topple's 24 points would have won easily, but he had to settle for a ball as did Graham Howlett and Rod Perceval, with 20 points and Les Puckett who scored 19 points. I’m afraid the handicapper will be very busy. Scoring this week ranged from 26 down to 12 points. In the Business House competition Dad's Army scored 114 this week.
Good golfing "boys" until next week.
