Four of those notices were for McDonald's in Yass for cleanliness issues, two of those from under a previous owner.
“The previous issues at our Yass restaurant were very disappointing and inconsistent with the high quality and cleanliness standards McDonald's is famous for," McDonald's spokeswoman Laura Keith said.
"We know our customers have high expectations and we want them to know that we take these matters extremely seriously."
She said the company had been re-training employees on cleaning procedures and increasing numbers on shifts.
She said council reinspected the site in November and confirmed "all of the issues had been rectified".
King Charcoal Chicken in Yass was fined $440 last year for a having a food handler smoking in areas where food is handled.
Lerida Café at Lake George was issued a $440 fine because a dog was observed in an indoor dining area.
Eighty five businesses were inspected between January and June last year, with 84.7 per cent passing the initial inspection.
Of the 13 businesses that needed a follow-up inspection, four were issued with a penalty infringement notice. Twenty nine final warning letters were issued and one improvement notice was issued.
Another report on food inspections is almost complete and will be tabled at a future council meeting.
